TNT Doubleheader Includes Houston vs. Los Angeles Clippers at 10:30 p.m. ET;
NBA TV Tips Off MLK Day Coverage with Orlando vs. Atlanta at 5 p.m.
TNT and NBA TV will celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with three live games highlighted by an NBA Finals rematch between the Golden State Warriors and Kia NBA MVP Stephen Curry visiting the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James on Monday, Jan. 18, at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
Preceding the marquee showdown, TNT will televise a special one-hour NBA Tip-Off presented by Autotrader with host Ernie Johnson and analysts Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal live from the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change in Atlanta at 7 p.m. TNT’s pregame coverage will be highlighted by:
• Interviews with Dr. King’s son, Martin Luther King III, basketball Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a sit-down with civil rights activist and former ambassador Andrew Young, conducted by Steve Smith
• Congressman John Lewis and Dr. Bernice King, daughter of Dr. King, joining the pregame show on site for a live interview
• The premiere of Portland Trail Blazers Damian Lillard’s socially relevant music video “Bigger Than Us” produced by Amusement Park Music
TNT’s coverage will also feature the Los Angeles Clippers and Chris Paul hosting the Houston Rockets and James Harden at 10:30 p.m.
Live game coverage will tip off earlier in the day with the Atlanta Hawks and Al Horford hosting the Orlando Magic and Victor Oladipo at 5 p.m. on NBA TV.
Marv Albert (play-by-play), analyst Chris Webber and reporter David Aldridge will provide commentary for Warriors/Cavaliers, with Brian Anderson (play-by-play) joined by analyst Reggie Miller and reporter Kristen Ledlow for Rockets/Clippers.
Inside the NBA presented by Kia with Johnson, Barkley, Smith and O’Neal will recap the night’s action following the TNT doubleheader, while also providing halftime updates throughout the evening.
