ELEAGUE, the professional esports organization formed in partnership between Turner and WME | IMG, will host the Americas Qualifier Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Tournament starting Wednesday, Nov. 2, with the Open Qualifier stage via FACEIT, the leading competitive gaming platform. The Americas Qualifier will showcase four invited organizations – Cloud 9, Immortals, Echo Fox and Team SoloMid – against four advancing teams from the Open Qualifier stage.

The four winning teams will advance to compete live from ELEAGUE Arena in Atlanta starting Saturday, Dec. 3, at 12 p.m. ET, with live coverage on Twitch. The two finalist teams will be invited to the ELEAGUE Major Championship Qualifier, held December 15-18 (also from ELEAGUE Arena with coverage presented live on Twitch).

The first-ever ELEAGUE Major will be held January 22-29, 2017 in Atlanta as the collective 16 Legend and Challenger teams compete for the title of CS:GO Major Champion and a majority share of the one million dollar prize pool. The entire event will be streamed live via the ELEAGUE channel on Twitch, with the Grand Final presented live on TBS and Twitch.

Americas Qualifier Tournament Format

Powered by the FACEIT platform, the online portion of the Americas Qualifier will consist of two Open Qualifier rounds and one Closed Qualifier round. The top two teams from each Open Qualifier round (four teams total) will advance to the Closed Qualifier, where they will be split into two groups. Each group will consist of two invited teams and two qualifying teams in a double-elimination bracket. The four advancing teams will play a double elimination bracket at ELEAGUE Arena in Atlanta, starting with two best-of-one matches on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 12 p.m. and continuing with three best-of-three matches on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m.
