TBS to Capture Defining Moments from Last Day of Season with Updates from All Key Games

Network to Provide In-Progress Highlights of Legendary Broadcaster Vin Scully’s Final Game

Sunday MLB on TBS will air the final regular season game of David Ortiz’s career in a full national telecast between the Boston Red Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays on the last day of the 2016 MLB season, Oct. 2, at 3 p.m. ET.  Ernie Johnson will provide play-by-play with analysts Ron Darling and Cal Ripken, Jr.

The network’s live game coverage will capture all of the defining moments on the last day of the 2016 MLB regular season with in-progress highlights and updates of any newsworthy moments and games with postseason implications.  The TBS telecast will also include in-progress highlights of legendary Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully’s final game.

Additionally, the MLB on TBS Pre-Game Show – with host Casey Stern and analysts Gary Sheffield and Jimmy Rollins– will preview the many storylines surrounding the final day of the regular season at 2:30 p.m.

TBS is in its 9th consecutive year of live MLB regular season game coverage, with a lineup featuring 13 regular season Sunday afternoon telecasts and an extensive MLB Postseason schedule including the exclusive presentation of the American League Wild Card Game, both American League Division Series and the American League Championship Series in 2016.
